After dad fell and he was living in a assisted living facility, we needed to start cleaning out the house that he had lived in for over 58 years. When I was cleaning out his bathroom, I saved the items what were the oldest or had memories associated with them and took a picture. He still had medicine from 1971!
The one item that held the most memories was the English Leather Cologne. After work dad would come home and shave before dinner. I would often join him and that would be the time I would have him all to myself. I don’t remember what would talk about, but I do remember the smell of the cologne. To this day I still love that smell.
How cool to find all this antique stuff. That’s when medicine was real medicine.
